WD041 - Caribbean Dance Project Repertoire

Description Joined by members of World Dance Theatre, this company class is a Total Caribbean Experience... Multi-regional Caribbean/Haitian dance techniques combined with Afro-contemporary dance-theatre and African Jazz. Participants learn the many variations of Caribbean Dance that mixed together, transport us to ancient Africa and the West Indies. Taught and directed by Patrick Lacroix, with members of the World Dance Theatre, Chantale Daguin, Joanne Rateau, Kera Washington, Akili Jamal, Jean Ledson Louis, special guests from the African Diaspora, and live drumming by JuJu & Ensemble. Also joining Patrick will be International Haitian Dance Instructor and Choreographer Saint Cyr Jean Monnestume, a former principal dancer of the National Ballet of Haiti and Viviane Gauthier Dance Institute to name a few.

On Sept. 13, class will be held in Studios 2 & 3 until 5:30 and then move to Studio 3 until 6:30; & 2. On Sept. 27, class will be held in Studio 2 from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.
