WD040 - Caribbean Dance Project Master Class

Description Choreographer Patrick Lacroix brings to light the spellbinding Haitian dance from its primitive stage to its relationship with West Indian, African-Jazz and ALL Contemporary dance styles. An expressive and multi-regional dance tapestry that combines authentic Haitian techniques with dynamic movements from regions of the African Diaspora. Taught and directed by Patrick Lacroix, with members of the World Dance Theatre, Chantale Daguin, Joanne Rateau, Kera Washington, Akili Jamal, Jean Ledson Louis, special guests from the African Diaspora, and live drumming by JuJu & Ensemble. Also joining Patrick will be International Haitian Dance Instructor and Choreographer Saint Cyr Jean Monnestume, a former principal dancer of the National Ballet of Haiti and Viviane Gauthier Dance Institute to name a few.
